My work is stressful and my life very busy, I support people with complex and challenging needs and the days can be very long. After a relationship breakdown I needed something to keep my mind positive that would help me to heal and unwind.
I was very unfit so knew that I could not go back to just running which was how I used to stay fit, I felt that I needed a group around me and motivation. A good friend of mine suggested Krav Maga so I researched it online and applied for my trial class programme.
I loved it! The group are lovely and very helpful with the newbies. The Instructors are also very patient and never make you feel stupid when you ask them to go over something. I have been training for 4 months and I am fitter than I have been for a long time and two stone lighter. I have a new social group and am meeting new people all the time.
I am now trying to concentrate and attend my first grading in September. My mind is in the right place and I actually feel bad if I don’t go to class. It’s addictive and good for you so I would recommend it to anyone of all ages that wants a very different way of keeping fit and meeting great people.
